Kate Johnson has made it to mid-level management in the IT group of a pharmaceutical company. Her intelligence, technical competence and easy-going personality are among the keys to her success. When Kate watches a television interview of one of her ex-boyfriends, her demons of over 30 years ago are awakened. Over the coming weeks, she cannot shake the resurrected feelings of betrayal and injustice, and vows to confront the men she once loved. She methodically conceives and carries out her ingenious, and illegal, plan. As the two men, her family and friends seek to understand her actions, Kate accepts her punishment.

Happy New Year

champagneTo all my followers and especially those who commented on my various blog posts, I wish you and yours a healthy and prosperous 2016.

As of January 1st I join the retirement crowd. If things go as planned, I will publish one new book and the French translation of Il Molo in 2016. I will also have more time to blog and in general do a lot of things I couldn’t do before due to lack of time.

My sincere wish for 2016 is that the world will find itself at peace, or at least find itself on the road to peace. Given the adverse forces that we are faced with – the violent and hateful responses to those with other ideologies, the general disrespect of other human beings, the senseless killings of so many – my wish may be unrealistic. In spite of this, I sincerely hope that 2016 is a much more peaceful year.

creaking stairsI opened my eyes and looked around the dark room. The curtains over the windows were drawn, but there was still the faint glow of the street lamp filtering through the fabric. Then I heard a creaking noise on the steps. That’s what must have wakened me. My sister who shared the room with me was away at college. So I couldn’t wake her up to ask if she’d heard anything nor solicit her assurance that it was nothing. I was there all by myself.

Il Molo, indie authors, self-publishing

I surprised myself when I saw that my last blog post was in June!

Of course, I do have some excuses: training my replacement at work (takes time), on vacation in the US (saw lots of family and friends) and Italy (relaxed on the beach which you see above in the pictures), and nothing much to report except…I’m working on a new book and the translation by a friend-translator of “Il Molo” into French.

I continue to manage three FB pages plus two websites – one for indie authors www.literaryselfies.com, and one for my painter husband www.pierremontant.com. Take a look at both of these if you have a moment.

My time constraints will be greatly eased when I (finally) take my retirement at the end of the year. I will have more time to do all of the above plus blogging more frequently and more time to do nothing, if I so choose.
