LITERARY SELFIES

Check out the Blog page on Literary Selfies (LS) www.literaryselfies.com. LS is featuring interviews of the indie authors. Responding to questions from LS, the authors discuss their first writing experience, first published novel, and when they began to consider themselves as a writer. They also reveal why they took the self-publishing route, their publishing experiences and tips for aspiring indie authors.

Good reasons to join Goodreads

I thought this was an interesting article and wanted to share it with you. I’m a member of Goodreads and think it’s a good site for both readers and writers.

For authors, it’s a good site to expand the exposure for your book, get reviews, see what others are writing, and even for marketing. For avid readers it’s a good source for learning about new books and you can review books that you’ve read. The only downside is that you realize you don’t have enough time to read everything you think might be interesting.

There’s a new website dedicated to self-published authors. If you want to expand the reach of your self-published book, or if you’re an avid reader and want to discover new authors, go to http://www.literaryselfies.com.

The site is the product of two self-publishers – myself and my aunt, Rebecca Sloan. You can see her books, Branches and Lake Effect on the website.

The site has gotten off to a good start. We’d love to have all the self-published authors join our site. There is no entrance fee. As part of our service to fellow indie authors, we will also post your book(s) on FB, Twitter and Pinterest.
